Author Terms

To become an Author on SellMyCode, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a verified SellMyCode account in good standing
• Complete any required identity verification (KYC) before withdrawing earnings
• Connect a valid payout account before your first withdrawal
• Agree to these Author Terms and our general Terms of Use

SellMyCode reserves the right to approve or deny Author status at its sole discretion.

What you may submit

• Original source code, scripts, plugins, themes, and templates
• Mobile app source code (iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native)
• SaaS boilerplates, APIs, and backend starters
• UI kits, component libraries, and design-to-code assets
• AI tools, automation scripts, and workflow utilities

What is not allowed

• Code copied or derived from another author's work without permission
• Products that include assets licensed under terms that prohibit resale
• Malicious code, backdoors, or unauthorized data collection
• Products purchased from other marketplaces and relisted here
• Incomplete, broken, or non-functional code
• Products with misleading descriptions, screenshots, or demo links

All product submissions are reviewed by our team before going live on the marketplace. Our review process checks for:

• Functional, working code that matches the product description
• Accurate and complete documentation or setup instructions
• Compliance with our content guidelines and prohibited items list
• No copyright infringement or unauthorized third-party assets
• Clean, readable code structure without obfuscation or malicious content

We reserve the right to approve, reject, or delist any product at our discretion. Rejection reasons will be provided where possible.

Authors set their own prices for Regular and Extended license tiers. SellMyCode charges a commission on each completed sale:

Current commission rates are published on our Author Payout Policy and may be updated with prior notice.

Earnings from sales are credited to your SellMyCode balance after the transaction clears. Payouts are subject to the following conditions:

• A minimum payout threshold must be reached before a withdrawal can be requested
• You must have a verified payout account connected (PayPal, bank transfer, or other supported method)
• KYC verification must be completed before your first withdrawal
• Payouts are processed according to our payout schedule, typically within a few business days of approval
• SellMyCode is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors

Product quality

• Ensuring your product works as described at the time of purchase
• Providing clear, accurate documentation and setup instructions
• Keeping your product listings up to date with correct descriptions and previews

Buyer support

• Responding to buyer support inquiries within a reasonable timeframe
• Assisting buyers with installation, configuration, and bug reports
• Issuing updates to fix critical bugs or compatibility issues where feasible

Legal and tax compliance

• Reporting and remitting all applicable taxes on your earnings
• Ensuring your products comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
• Maintaining accurate account and payout information at all times

SellMyCode is a non-exclusive marketplace. You are free to list and sell your products on other platforms, marketplaces, or through your own website simultaneously. There is no exclusivity requirement.

By listing a product on SellMyCode, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, promote, and distribute your product through our platform. You retain full copyright and ownership of your work at all times.

As an Author, you must not:

• Manipulate reviews, ratings, or sales figures through fake purchases or self-reviews
• Communicate with buyers outside the platform to circumvent commissions or fees
• Include affiliate links, tracking code, or unauthorized third-party scripts without disclosure
• Spam or solicit buyers through SellMyCode messaging for unrelated products or services
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy other authors' products
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or product capabilities in your profile or listings

SellMyCode reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate an Author account at any time for:

• Repeated or serious violations of these Author Terms or our general Terms of Use
• Submission of infringing, fraudulent, or harmful content
• Abuse of the payout or refund system
• Failure to complete required KYC verification within a reasonable period
• Any conduct deemed harmful to the platform, its users, or third parties

Upon termination, pending payouts will be processed according to our standard schedule, subject to deductions for outstanding fees, refunds, or violations. Active product listings will be removed.
